White dominated the People’s Choice Awards last night, as Taylor Swift, Ellen Pompeo and Morena Baccarin stepped onto the red carpet clad in white and ivory colors. But, our best dressed pick of the night was newly-single Taylor Swift, who traded in her grade school bangs for a glamorous piece-y low bun, and shocked the crowd in a plunging white Ralph Lauren gown. The result was timeless. It was her first red carpet appearance since her break up with One Direction star, Harry Styles, and there’s no doubt her sexy fashion choice showed Harry just what he’s missing. But who cares about guys when you are nominated for three awards for Favorite Song of the Year for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” Favorite Female Artist, and Favorite Country Artist?
Swift paired the figure-hugging gown with turquoise drop earrings, Christian Louboutin heels and seductive bronze smoky eye makeup. Her eye makeup does a lot of talking because it works up the already stunning dress and highlights her baby blue eyes. Since blue and bronze are on opposite sides of the color spectrum, they end up complementing each other in the most beautiful way. And this time, they made Taylor look like a Grecian goddess. The entire look was sure to make many best dressed lists.
Her eye makeup was done combining bronze taupe and rusted gold shades. To copycat Taylor, start by covering the eyelids with a peachy shimmery shadow. Then, layer bronze shadow on top, from the crease to the lash line. Line the eye with a deep brown or black eyeliner, close to the lash line, Smudge brown eyeliner around the waterline to create the smoky eye effect. Spray Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray over your eyelids with the eyes closed to prevent your smoky eye makeup from creasing. Taylor’s bronze smoky eye at the People’s Choice Awards was finished with a sheer peach lipstick.
Taylor Swift has been quite adventurous post-break up, but this is her most revealing look yet. She certainly proved that she is all grown up now. What did you think of Taylor’s red carpet look?
