The White House Correspondent’s dinner on Saturday night was full of gorgeous celebs, who proved that they’ve got more than just beauty…they’ve got the brains to go to Washington too. Year after year, the White House Correspondents dinner gets bigger and better. And, Saturday’s event was no different. Similar to that of a red carpet award show, the White House was full of Hollywood A-listers like Claire Danes, Sophia Vergara, Kerry Washington, Hayden Panattiere and Kate Mara, who upped the class factor and brought out a lot of lovely makeup looks in Washington. Let’s take a look at our favorite celebrity makeup of the evening.
Hayden Penettiere is our number one pick. Her golden bronze tan and cherry red lipstick gave off a cool, summer glow popped next to the color of her pastel Katherine Kidd dress. Hayden’s long blonde locks were braided in a crowned updo that added a boho chic vibe to the look. Utter perfection!
Our second runner up is Kata Mara of House of Cards. Kate had a little Jackie O. thing working for her in an Ivory floor length Prada gown. Kate’s look would have fallen flat if it wasn’t for her dramatic grey smoky eye that added a mod effect to her otherwise plain look.
Finally, Kerry Washington dazzled in an open back black and white patterned layered dress that showed off her toned arms. The Scandal actress made her hair and makeup work for her with a blunt fringe framing her gorgeous features. She kept her makeup simple, highlighting her brown eyes with black eyeshadow and a dusting of gold, while adding a slick of nude colour to her full lips.
