Kate Moss Is Getting a Parisian Documentary for Her 40th Birthday

Looking For Kate

Kate Moss will celebrate her 40th birthday on Jan. 16, and you know that she — along with the rest of the fashion industry — is going to do it big. In honor of this milestone and her two and a half decades in the industry, French television channel Paris Première will air an exclusive documentary on Sun., Jan. 12.

The doc, entitled Looking for Kate, won’t be all sunshine and rainbows: According to Vogue Paris, the film delves “into some of the darker aspects of the woman whose face is known all over the world, but whose story remains shrouded in mystery.” Moss is no stranger to scandal — who could forget the mid-2000s “Cokate” situation or her whirlwind romance with Pete Doherty — but very few people in the public eye bounce back quite as successfully as the supermodel has over the years.

Looking for Kate also features interviews and insight from insiders who have worked with Moss throughout her lengthy career, including Isabel Marant, Paolo Roversi and Peter Lindbergh. We’re not sure how long it will be before American fans will get to screen the documentary, but it might be worth hitting up all of your French acquaintances to see if they’ll record it for you.
