Get Inspired by Celebrity Halloween Costumes

Dressing up in character is a career in Hollywood, so it’s no wonder that celebrities go all out when Oct. 31 rolls around. Last year, stars hit the streets in elaborate Halloween costumes at parties from NYC to Los Angeles.

Whether you opt for a scary, sexy or funny costume, the fun of the holiday is to change your look for a night and have fun being someone else. To quote Lindsey Lohan in Mean Girls, “Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.” But, rather than pulling a Rachel McAdams and wearing a Playboy bunny costume with five of your girlfriends, go for something more original.  Take some tips from some of our favorite celebs last Halloween, who show us how to be sexy and creative for Halloween. Copy their looks if you dare:

Miranda Kerr hosted a circus-themed party and wowed the crowd in her sexy 1940’s circus ringmaster costume. She paired the number with a black blazer and a top hat, which made for the perfect combination of sexy and classy. A bright red lipstick and just the right amount of eyeliner amplified he 1940’s ringmaster look to a tee.

Who could forget Kim Kardashian’s Poison Ivy costume last year? She appeared solo at the Midori Green Halloween costume party at Lavo in New York City right before news of her divorce from Chris Humphries made news. Her costume was super hot with a fire-red wig, and a clinging ivy dress dripping with green plants, paired with green leaves over the eyebrows.  Her leafy eyebrow bouquet was paired with small green veins penciled along the hairline and temples.

Glee star Lea Michele channeled her inner ballerina dressing as Natalie Portman’s White Swan character at Glee’s Halloween party. With her hair slicked back, a cut white ballerina tutu, and a painted white face, Lea looks almost identical to Portman in the Black Swan.
