Easter Makeup Looks to Try This Spring

With the coming of spring comes a fresh energy – everyone is ready to ditch their heavy coats and dark shades and opt instead for something fun, bright, and floral.

With Easter around the corner, we put together a list of cute makeup looks to try – whether you are spending the day with family at church, going to a yummy brunch with friends, or hunting for eggs with the kids in the backyard.

Look #1 – Flower Power

We’ve seen the 70’s trend come back this year, so why not fully lean into it on a day known for flowers (tulips, lilies, etc.) anyway? A combination of a flower or bright-colored cardigan over wide leg jeans is not only trendy, but will keep you warm if there’s still a bit of chill in the air. Check out this cheap but super cute daisy cardigan in many different color options on Amazon.

For makeup, might we suggest a simple yet playful shimmery lid and gloss combo, as shown below by girlactik beauty!

And for a look that’s a little more bold and makes a true flower power statement? Check out this daisy eyeshadow tutorial below from Gabriela Maria!

Look #2 – Pretty Pastels

Pastels are a staple of spring, and this year we are again seeing lots of light purple, yellow, green, and pink in blouses, dresses, and even tube tops. Go for a matchy-matchy look with your pastel clothing by applying eyeshadow in the same or similar shade. We love how skylarroyal rocks this Hope Macaulay outfit with a matching pink pastel eyeshadow. And if you need a good pastel palette? Might we suggest this Too Faced one from Sephora.

Look #3 – Rock the Rainbow

If you can’t seem to settle on one particular color for your makeup look this year, why not try them all?

This beginner tutorial video below from Beauty by Josie K can help get you started. And if you don’t want to invest a whole lot of money in a look that’s more “out there,” linked here is a budget-friendly NYX rainbow palette for you to practice with.

Look #4 – Light Pink and Pretty

Ever since I stumbled across a light pink mini dress from Revolve, I’ve been down a rabbit hole of cute outfit options from their site that has been very unfortunate for my wallet.

A timeless Easter classic, pair a light colored dress or romper with light pink lips, nude lids, and soft blush. It’s anything from boring! Check out our inspo below.

Look #5 – Graphics Galore

The little kids going on a scavenger hunt for eggs shouldn’t have all the fun, right? For an interesting look that just screams spring, try a graphic look with different colored oval shapes, as shown by mbalichristinam below.

Whatever your plans are this Easter season, we hope you and your loved ones get to enjoy a relaxing day filled with great weather and the spring sun!
