Copy Rita Ora’s Signature Makeup Look

Rita Ora is the new “It Girl” in Hollywood.  She is a British singer-songwriter, known for her bold fashion and makeup. And she’s gained popularity with songs like “Shine Ya Light” and “How We Do”. Oh yeah, and she’s been rumored to be “dating” Rob Kardashian. There’s nothing like reality television to stake your claim to fame.

Rita has been hailed as a young Gwen Stefani. She’s got the golden blonde bob and rocks bright red lipstick like Gwen. To top it off, her wardrobe is chic and cool. We’ll walk you through how to copy her signature look.

The half-Albanian, half-British singer recently stepped out in a peach-colored Ulyana Sergeenko backless couture gown at the Brit Awards. But it’s Rita’s makeup that wowed us. I know I always tell my readers pick and choose your colors. If you have bold eye makeup, tone down the lipstick. Or, if you’re going for a bold lip, the rest of the face should be kept natural. But, Rita Ora may have proven me wrong. In what can sometimes be a makeup faux-pas, Rita was able to carry a strong lip and a strong eye.

She stuck to her signature matte red lipstick that made her lips look sexy and full, and brought out the color of her peach gown. Lady In Danger by Mac is Rita’s favorite red lipstick. The red lip was uniquely paired with a strong eye created with a swipe of silvery grey eye shadow on the eyelids and liquid eyeliner to add the finishing touch.

To get Rita’s strong eye, we recommend using Smashbox LimitLess 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow in Stone. It’s a deep olive grey shade that makes the appearance of your eyes strong, but not overwhelming. Use it sparingly and apply only onto the lid. You’ll want to contour the crease with a darker color to add dimension. Finish it off with Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray to prevent the color from creasing and forming harsh makeup lines.

Her eyebrows were perfectly groomed and filled in to create a dark, bold brow. This can look funny on most people who have bleach blonde hair, but Rita Ora makes it work.

To get hair like Rita Ora, tease hair all around your crown. Pull hair back loosely into a ponytail and secure. Braid the tail then twist it around itself into a bun and secure with bobby pins.
